A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to do an interview with the former tubist of Boston Brass, Andrew Hitz.
In addition to being the former tubist with Boston Brass, Andrew is an educator, author, entreprenuer, and wears many other hats as you’ll find out.
What I think is the most fascinatingthing about this interview (and I think you’ll agree) is that you can learn how Andrew crafted a career on his own terms after leaving his job with Boston Brass.
Here are just a few topics that we cover:
- How he went from a grad student to the tubist in Boston Brass (12mins)
- The benefits of hiring other pros (18mins)
- Why you should always help out contractors (19mins)
- Simple tools (things you probably already use) that any musician can use to market themselves (37mins)
- And much, much more.
Also, one last thing before you get started…my dog Banjo makes a guest appearance towards then so I hope you’ll forgive the background noise.
OK! Here’s Andrew…
